October Sun

October Sun

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

October Sun

It’s hard to believe

the sun was out today,

and I could use its cosmic power

to paint my skin again.

I thought I’d seen the last

as September slipped away

but today it returned

warm and giving,

stroking erotic gentle

peace over naked welcomes,

offering the promise

of deep bronzed flesh;

and I could not resist.

I like the idea of the sun being erotic! A very evocative poem John- you sun worshiper you!

Thank you Claire; maybe a repeat this afternoon. I do love the sun.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
