Coup de Foudre

Coup de Foudre

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

Coup de Foudre

I read your words;

they flowed through every cell

in my wracked body.

Like electricity charging,

tingling from my finger tips,

to my toes.

A sensation enjoyed

with its reckless intention

and a deep desire for more.

I saw your picture,

caught my breath in gasps

and briefly dared hope.

When you walked through the door

time stood still

and I froze in awe.

I watched from afar

hanging on every word,

each inflection a sparked desire

to kiss your mouth

and I knew I had fallen.

falling in love with the words first---ah yes, i know this feeling...and then seeing the person and thinking, wow, those words came from this goddess?

and the bubble is not burst..the person is as real as her writing, as beautiful inside and out...

i want to kiss her page as well as her lips.

Thank you Mia, inspired by a poet.
Great ending, I can feel the electricity in that kiss of realisation you describe, really like this one - Thanks John

I thought you'd run off for a moment there John, not read anything from you for a few days. I thought to myself, cause there was no one else around; that's not like my buddy John!
I liked this a lot, almost a hidden sexual (ish) theme; but I got more romance from it ~ see, knew you were a big softie really! (Scots are good at being big softies!)
Well written etc as always hun x

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
