Spin

Spin

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

Spin

Spin;

Tell me the news

I should believe,

is such deceit

real?

Spin;

Throw me confusion

to turn my head

in shakes of

disbelief.

Spin:

Capture my heart

in your sticky web

of well woven

silk.

A well composed, simple & understated take on things that may or might not be as they are frequently portreyed -

'Spin' is also a good example of how a four letter word can be used in different contexts & to be simultaneously both vulgar & conversely something of beauty - Yep, I liked this one as well John

Wow you have been busy Neville. Thank you!
Your poem felt like a spinning top at first. I realized too late that it was a web that I was spinning in... Alas, the fate of many...
Fun "spin" on life.

Thanks Ed.
I'm getting a real sense of sarcasm in this piece...you are fully aware someone is spinning you in the direction they want you to go, and yet, with that knowledge, it becomes you who is the spinner...making them think you've been spun...I have no idea if that even makes sense; I'm pretty dizzy right now *laugh* Bottom line: great piece, John.
