Cerridwen

Cerridwen

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

The crone

"

Cerridwen

Celtic hag,

darker aspects of the crone belie

the powers of prophesy you keep

as you protect the cauldron

where knowledge and inspiration are secreted

in the belly of the underworld.

Your children are both fair and dark

Clearwy as light as snow

Morfran ugly and malevolent

as the depths of hell.

This legend has men of Harlech

fighting for their lives

Cambria live for aye!

This has a very medieval tone to it. Always a good read. Thank you.

For the Celtic in it, I love it. I started reading some Celtic fairytales and it made me love them.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
