The End of EarthA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenThe End of Earth And in this bleak winter we are so exposed to searing icy winds and driving freezing rain, and the failure of our own faith. The cold stone walls of memory lead the immortals to their torrid deaths and in their graves already lie the rotted bones of those who fell before, bowed beneath dreams of heavy fortitude and loyal souls. And so the thaw will come, rushing in torrents of melted snow to wash away these neat green hills and pungent forests of pine, till this sweet Earth is levelled and we are all forgotten. 10/05/13 © 2013 John Alexander McFadyenReviews
