Hard Hitter

Hard Hitter

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

Hard Hitter

You don’t pull punches,

you certainly don’t play fair.

Hope you are happy

that the pain you caused us all

has destroyed our faith in you.

I wonder what this is about? Hmmm people who use their excessive power unnecessarily? Bullies? Or billy goats? Butt you make a good point here, really ram it home... :-)

Disappointment...that is the one emotion that I never want to see on the face of anyone I love. You've done an excellent job of conveying it here.

Thanks Sye, hope you are good.
An incredibly exacting and blunt piece. The speaker lays it all on the line and delivers the message that needs to be gotten across in the moment. While we read the climactic moment when the speaker divulges his feelings, we can imagine that there were many events that built up to that moment. I like that we as readers have the creative invitation to enter into the work and ponder the situation. Glad I came across this write.

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
