Memory of Love

Memory of Love

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

Memory of Love

I felt your thoughts drift to me,

if merely for an instant.

It was like a cooling breeze on a still,

hot and sultry summer day

as it wafted unexpectedly,

but welcome across my soul.

Then you quickly shut the thought away,

deep in that place where

you bury all of your responsibilities.

But it will slip out again and

as time passes will mean less and less,

until I am simply a forgotten lover.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
