Sleep

Sleep

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

Sleep

Sleep sweetly within the warm pocket of your dreams,

abide with me there where at least our skins collide

in steamy union and urgent embrace.

Lie still in the tranquillity of love

where thoughts lead to who knows what

when you are alone with your moonbeams.

Embrace the night

for that is where we meet

amid dark signals in space

that allow us to transcend

the many miles that separate us.

And when you may,

close the gap so that

the touch, the kiss and the passion

that we crave

is no longer virtual in nature.

Till then sleep with my heart in mind.

This is such a lovely romantic, wanting poem. One minor thing, I think you want Lie instead of Lay, but poetic license prevails of course.
