The Lies She Told

The Lies She Told

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

The Lies She Told

Vengeance will be mine

for I will survive evil’s child,

she who would deceive

and contrive to destroy me.

I take my sword from its scabbard,

freshly sharpened to a glint

and plunge it into your oh so hollow breast.

A breast once given to passion

and the comfort of my flesh,

but now from which your very soul has fled.

The lies you told pierced my hungry eyes

as I believed with the blindest  faith

all your sultry siren songs of love.

How such trickery could be woven,

in the darkest cloak of duplicity

I will never know.

Your borderline contrivances,

now admitted and exposed,

had me a broken man,

but I have risen

to live and love again.

Tis you who will feel everlasting pain

and be trapped in the eternal darkness

of a loveless marriage

for the rest of time.

I had to come back even though I know it may be a while before you see this. When you are like this, you do vitriol and venom with style -- and say it how you feel it. A strong piece. The person condemned to the loveless marriage will be the one suffering in the end.

I always wonder what the other side has to say...
yet seems you've moved on and she has found someone new...
or still in relapse...love even in matrimony is not love ---
when both are not willing to give it...to its truest form...
I have to say this had anger --- and never let go in its plot down the lines...

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
