Ode to JoyA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenOde to Joy To me you are the colour white, the purest of virgins, with one foot here on earth and the other in heaven. You are the brightest star that I have ever gazed upon in my long night’s sky. You are the perfumed wind carrying pine scents and cooling my tortured, sleepless mind. You are the sweetest melody seeping sultry and hypnotic from the saxophone’s deep throat. You are chaste and crystal clear, your pale skin deliciously divine, and you are the most tender woman I have ever loved. Even your words are honey drenched with the honesty of pain and child-like ethereal hope upon their lips. That your breath touches all close to you is a blessing from God, and I
long for it's feathered caress soft against my neck as I cradle you close. I envisage your sweet and perfect breast cupped in my palm as we kiss, of the unwrapping of two bodies united in a deep desire for one another’s promise, and the dream that we both share.
