Freed

Freed

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

Freed

I have offered to open the door;

so,

will you not flee the gilded cage

in which you sit?

Will you not take to the wing

and fly swift and high to where freedom calls?

Up into the azure sky

and on to heaven,

where fate awaits our union.

And, where liberated,

our naked hearts collide

in super nova heat

that melts the moon.

fear can be so powerful to those of us who have been hurt that it does hold us back in a relationship... I can see how that can be frustrating to the other party who doesn't fully understand the crippling effects of it.. but with patience and understanding hopefully you will be able to help her overcome, heal, and enjoy happiness together sir.... very nice write about longing and understanding...

April you are so sweet and kind. Many thanks for such a considered review!
I feel the need in this, the yearning urge...sometimes we can only open the door, if they won't walk through it and out of it, we can only do so much, beautifully written x

Life is full of frustration at times Poppy. Many thanks!
Ah, to free the caged bird. You know, sadly, I have found often the bird is afraid to leave the cage, and therein lies the dilemma. We want the bird to be happy, but she is trapped in her own mind. A sad, heartfelt piece.

Woo supernova heat, now that's HOT. A sultry sweet offering awash in your inky desires John...

If you love something/one set it free...

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
