Severed

Severed

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

The damage some leave behind........

"

Severed

You clung to my heart like a burr,

and when you had control,

flipped me over and practiced

your stiletto chiropractic witchcraft

on my spine.

Your heels dug deep into surrendered flesh

to puncture the lungs of trust.

You crushed my vertebrae

until all feeling was lost,

all sensation gone forever.

Then you walked away

seeking your next revenge,

leaving me paralysed

and unable to reach for love

from my turning bed.

Being 5'11", I have no use for stiletto's...but I'm pretty sure I could leave you paralyzed in other ways!

No quite my favourite my Lady!
wicked poem...those heels digging into the heart...and those memories really stick...burrs are quite hard to pry off...so is paralysis once our heart has been broken and it just doesn't want to move its muscles anymore.
