ShameA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenWe are complicit!Shame We are the sons and daughters of destruction as we stand idly by in our safe houses and watch, detached, as the slaughter of nations rages in a foreign land. Our leaders and the press demonise that which has no fit with our distorted and biased reasoning. Allowing us to wash our hands of the blame. We watch mass murder, starvation, rape, torture and invasion as if an episode of a TV serial. Thus detached we can bury guilt deep in the recess of shame.
