Cries of a Child's Heart

Cries of a Child's Heart

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Just me.

"

Cries of a Child’s Heart

I fall in love; it’s what I do.

I guess I throw caution to the

proverbial wind as I become

enwrapped, immersed and imbued in

the fragrance and image of another,

often ignoring the glaring chasm

of logics warning signs that scream

at me to cut and run. Instead I

hunker down on the premise that

one has to work at a relationship

and take the rough with the smooth,

that none of us are perfect and to

wait for such perfection is futile. I see

good in every one of my failed

dalliances; even after the fact

and I still mourn each one. Perhaps

I am simply a fool who cries out

to be loved and is grateful to any

who would stop and stare. Aye

there's the rub, but I am well

past the cure.

Aww, an introspective and resigned piece. Some of us are just built that way.:)

No … there is no cure … lol … fortunately … but there is … here I go again … the ability to understand and observe oneself as this poem shows you have and then eventually feel and not 'fall in' love. Our last conversation inspired a blog write from me. Check it out if time allows.

It's the one about Archimedes … http://prydefoltz.blogspot.ca

"You are not alone". I think you really cued into what many of us fall into and although is full of ups and downs, still makes the world go 'round.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
