Cries of a Child's HeartA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenJust me.Cries of a Child’s Heart I fall in love; it’s what I do. I guess I throw caution to the proverbial wind as I become enwrapped, immersed and imbued in the fragrance and image of another, often ignoring the glaring chasm of logics warning signs that scream at me to cut and run. Instead I hunker down on the premise that one has to work at a relationship and take the rough with the smooth, that none of us are perfect and to wait for such perfection is futile. I see good in every one of my failed dalliances; even after the fact and I still mourn each one. Perhaps I am simply a fool who cries out to be loved and is grateful to any who would stop and stare. Aye there's the rub, but I am well past the cure.
