In the Face of LoveA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenIf only we trusted. In the Face of Love I spend the winter of my days hunched over my keyboard trying to find the right words. I have never, after decades, learned to touch type. And so I must look, I must concentrate on each stroke, consider where each finger will land. If only life could have been simpler, more certain, more predictable, then I may have been bolder, may have taken my chances, used my instinct more. Then my fears may not have constrained my faith and I may have let life just unfold.
