Geology of the River of Love

Geology of the River of Love

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Love unfulfilled.

"

Geology of the River of Love

My Lady, how I breathe for you.

Each inhalation a dream of your

naked skin.

Each olfactory sensation

a description of my desire.

Each taste a salty wish.

And now you melt like the

snows of winter

and disappear into flowing

rivers of regret where I,

silt in the waters, form

the oxbow lake

that changes the course

of time.

I like how you described the evolution of or the "geology" of the way love flows and how things are affected by each other deeply and sometimes beautifully.. each having its part separate but powering the other.. the way you "breathe" for her and exactly what each new one holds.. the way she fills your "being" and what the absence of reciprocation means.. the desires, dreams, and wishes teasing the senses and carrying moving imagery and a profound message.. this one is touching and well written as always.. love the music...

Thank you so much Leslie.
Great choice of words, there is great imagery here.

My fav. lines

"My Lady, how I breathe for you.

a description of my desire.

Each taste a salty wish."

Now this line made me giggle a little..
"Each inhalation a dream of your

naked skin."

Thank you for sharing!

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
