Counsellor's Love

Counsellor's Love

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Therapuetic Relationships!

"

Counsellor's Love

I folded inward in the warmth of your supportive gaze.

I exploded into a million fragments at your posture,

your eyes, your mouth, your closeness,

and most of all your gentle understanding.

You so quickly reached out to my inner nature

and I immersed myself willingly

in the hot tub of all the possibilities I saw and felt.

The quality of the therapeutic relationship

your quest,

you examined my internal world and

my experiences within my wider family and

the socio-cultural context in which I exist.

You took in the complexities of me,

the whole person, mind, body and spirit,

ingrained within your humanistic integrative approach.

When I rose, my tears gave you purpose

and you and I were drawn to the embrace

and I felt the warm welcome of your full breasts

and the earnest truth of your caring hands

and fell at your feet.

A looking glass into the areas one never really sees in others, well done, good read.

Yes and where we rarely look Thomas. Many thanks.
this is a senstive, careful look at very difficult kind of relationship, that has, I assume, an
autpbiographical background ; well written, honest poem.

Thank you Poppy this happened to me on Wedneday and I am still breathless.
A love that is kind and warm, and true and fulfilling and accepting. What we all crave, I suppose.

Indeed. Thanks 'M'
if only more people, especially significant others, would take us with all our complexities and accept us...

not be filled with expectations we can't live up to.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
