What is LoveA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenMy cynical voice! What is Love. Love was sent by the gods to make man weak, weaker than he has to be. It is a dark poison, injected directly into his heart to make him forget his soul, to keep his might from rising, to keep him from godliness and in a state of constant confusion. Love is the shackles round man’s ankles which tie him to the earth and bind him to follow the bidding of the flesh, and it will be man’s death. For abandoned to this rock of a planet there is nothing for him beyond love.
