My James

My James

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

A true talent

"

My James

I have spawned a poet

and a scribe.

From the ice of comets

life was brought to this planet

and I, a black rock in space,

had life settle in my loins

to spark that orange glow

of greatness, of wonder.

And I sowed it here

on earth where you

tended its seed,

caused its germination

to erupt, and I tended

its growth until it became

the burning bush upon

Mount Horeb where

Yahweh appointed Moses

to lead the Israelites from Egypt

to the Levant.

This is beautiful and it says a lot...
its growth until it became

the burning bush upon

Mount Horeb where

Yahweh appointed Moses

to lead the Israelites from Egypt

to the Levant.

I love how you used this lines to set a great picture to the readers mind...

Beautifully done!

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
