James

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

James

You are everything

I have ever loved.

You are the stars,

the moon,

the warm winds

that fan the sands of time.

You are the Earth

and all its glory.

You are balmy scents

of my pride,

my joy.

You are the sun

that warms my skin

and calms my soul.

You were born from me,

a complicated story,

but the gift I give to you

is the gift of

unconditional love.

hahahaha I see! LOL
a father's love is different...a more subtle, often unspoken love.

but it is there, and it is because the child is a part of the father, a big part...
lovely piece, filled with pride and love for that "complicated story"---

Thank you so much Jacob. You describe it well.
Its hard for people to remember that a father's love could be equal to a mother's when it comes to children. What a wonderful reminder that even though the child was not formed in your body, he was formed of your body. Nice work.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
