I Hear You!A Poem by John Alexander McFadyenWhat can we do?I Hear You! I hear your cries from the wilderness, where humanity has abandoned you starving and alone and in pain. I hear your sobs from the war zones, where politicians have left you to deal with silent scars. I hear your pleas from the edges of society, where our complacency has deserted you to suffer while we feast. But hearing you is just not enough as your plight continues and the icy fog of life, swirls around your fate. And still I am but a spectator who feels unable to protect you, to stand up for you against such blatant injustice.
