Black Days

Black Days

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Lonliness kills!

"

Black Days

The days are empty now,

the sun is gone and I have

no oxygen to breathe

and so my soul deflates

like a black balloon.

The silence is heavy,

unbearable,

and it crushes the very

life from my lungs

and each whisper

of wind or creak

of a once living home,

now long dead,

sparks delusions.

Dark paranoid feelings

of betrayal

by life itself.

So the demons rise

for their victory march,

as love deserts

and abandons me

again

and again

and again.

You are dear Poppy. Thank you!
Your words are filled to the brim with emptiness John. I know this feeling, though happily I haven't felt it in a while, but the thoughts still hide out in the back of my mind. This one really speaks those thoughts well.

Many thanks Will.
Definitely many can relate to the feelings of failure and loss when another relationship ends, and we feel abandoned and alone.

It is all too common thses days. Thank you .
i've had love desert enough times to understand this one all too well...and to feel it all too well...

delusions don't even show their head....

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
