Infected

Infected

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Love is a disease.

"

Infected

Pain dribbles from my pen

like puss.

The putrid decaying flesh

of love has gathered

in boils

that rupture

from time to time

to leave their scars

upon my soul.

They have driven so deep

into my flesh

that my blood is now

poisoned.

Impetigo, septic arthritis, osteomyelitis,

endocarditis, septicaemia,

and after so many infections

I now suffer from

cavernous sinus thrombosis

that will invade my brain

and lead to my demise.

Don't you just love..love? I unfortunately can relate to each expression from puss to invasion of disease. Graphic and excellent...xo

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
