Love's TruthA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenMe.Love’s Truth I exist, within the frozen wastes of my pain; a place where I have become Baked Alaska. A desert never trusted to be hot or cold. Often avoided to escape the uncertainty it exudes in name. Yet I am warm beyond belief; and giving beyond comprehension. It is my Achilles heel, the one weak spot where I am simply moribund. Where I am vulnerable to the aspirations of grasping, devious sirens, who would suck me dry. Yet I am a gladiator, a brave and honourable warrior on the field of battle.
