Explosive Cyclogenesis

Explosive Cyclogenesis

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

The winds of change!

"

Explosive Cyclogenesis

Carole Kirkwood

stood before the TV screen

looking amazing

and told us, with a

delicious lilt in her voice,

that North West Britain

was about to experience

a rapidly intensifying depression

where the pressure would plunge

in the eye of the storm

creating waves in excess of sixteen metres.

And the winds came

and touched me too

in my safe haven to the south,

many miles from the sea.

And you flew in on

the jet stream

a raging wind

to tear my flesh

from my bones

and besmirch me

in desire.

weather people like her make us not care how devastating the weather will be, as long as we can tune into her every night----
she is a storm we want to be caught in the eye of.

Great weather metaphors here. Weather "bunnies" become part of our lives. We see them every day and listen to their forecasts to help plan our days. It's not accident that most of them are as pretty as they are. Lydi**

No but Carole is divine!
I had to look up Carole Kirkwood, just to satisfy my curiosity. It is funny the bond we forge with our weather forecast personalities. I like this. There is a lot in here, figuratively, and literally.

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
