Desire for Joy

Desire for Joy

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Love is simple.

"

Desire for Joy

Let the fire burning in your breast

light the way to my heart

and do not let that flame

flicker in the breeze of doubt,

only to splutter coldly

into the death of a perfect love.

Relive your dreams,

but awake.

Walk barefoot down the path

of trust

where I will be there,

waiting to adore your

soft and sacred soul.

Where I will hold you

naked against my warm

and welcoming skin.

Where I will make love to you

with unbridled passion

and with a depth

you have never tasted

and will never taste

again.

"only to splutter coldly
into the death of a perfect love." - striking imagery my friend.
You paint such timeless images of love

If I was a woman - I definitely would..

here is the image your words conjured in my head mate

are you willing to walk barefoot to me?
ulitmate trust will dress our relationship and we will then walk down the aisle....
and never need to protect our hearts, we can give them freely.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
