Drowning Again and Again.

Drowning Again and Again.

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Going under for the seventh time!

"

Drowning Again and Again

My earth has been shaken

by life itself; the fall from

my safe haven, where I had climbed,

suddenly had impact, jarring

my whole being and dislodging

my battered heart.

As my empty corpse plunged

into the abyss once more

I could not feel my fingers

nor my soul;

just the hollowness of loss

and being adrift on an open ocean,

buffeted by the winds that

swelled the brutal waves.

Feeling out of control

with no direction,

I long to simply sink

to oblivion.

oops this downer is catching faster than bird-flu - them birds eh John
A claustrophobic write that almost overwhelms - fine phrasing mate

Im gonna leave that up there /
as a reminder to myself that I can be an a*****e at times. The poignancy of this poem was hidden to me by my own pomposity my friend. This is such a deeply personal write. I hope you can overlook my twat-edness. I hope you come back soon.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
