My Karina

My Karina

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

My Love

"

My Karina

My heart belongs to you forever

no matter what your mind tells you to believe.

You taught me how to love again

and how to set my spirit free.

You gave me inspiration

filled me full of hope

and taught me that my sorry

soul can have love.

You took me to divine places

where I'd never been,

showed me sights and flavours

that I had never seen.

John, Many a man has had love then lost it, leaving that man to think he will never love again. When you say, "You taught me how to love again," sounds like it may be the case here. When my first marriage dissolved that's exactly how I felt until I met Dee. Twenty-three years later I can look back and credit her with teaching ME the same thing. Such a beautiful and tender write. Salute! take care...dan

So good to hear your happy story Dan. Many thank yous!
Some would say we are lucky to feel such love but as great as someone makes us feel there is no cure for a love that can't be enjoyed to the fullest.

Very true. Many thanks FT
Funny how love cannot be measured either with time or in volume. However love always leaves you with a everlasting impression stamped on your thoughts. Nice Write John and breakups are not fun!

Thank you Sereena.
What does Karina mean?
A very positive poem. Profound with optimism and hope. Yes, every sorry soul does deserve love. It just takes the right person to realise it and love you. A very touching piece.

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
