FaithA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenWhy do we have it?Faith Why do we put so much faith in love such a fragile and ill defined concept, which today all to often results in divorce and ends brutally for too many hearts? Why do we put so much faith in humanity when history is littered with the misery created by marauders and dictators, Julius Caesar, Genghis Khan, Napoleon, Hitler, Stalin, Idi Amin, Muammar al-Gaddafi. Saddam Hussein and Bashar al-Assad, to name a few? Why do we put so much faith in religion when its words are hollow and history shows its hands are stained with the blood of the innocent, all in the name of God?
