Why do we have it?

Faith

Why do we put so much faith in love

such a fragile and ill defined concept,

which today all to often results in divorce

and ends brutally for too many hearts?

Why do we put so much faith in humanity

when history is littered with the misery

created by marauders and dictators,

Julius Caesar,

Genghis Khan,

Napoleon,  

Hitler,

Stalin,

Idi Amin,  

Muammar al-Gaddafi.

Saddam Hussein

and Bashar al-Assad,

to name a few?

Why do we put so much faith in religion

when its words are hollow

and history shows its hands are stained

with the blood of the innocent,

all in the name of God?

humanity is pretty iffy...we expect way too much...and with love and marriage?

we should change "till death do us part" to " till the first big argument"

and religion can be a crutch, but we rely too heavily on it, and again we will be disappointed.

we can really only depend on ourselves.

I think faith in love is some kind of body defence mechanism to keep us from sinking into depression.
As for religion... I'm not overly religious, actually I'm not at all. Maybe if God exists is more of a committee than a person. Like a GOD board of directors. Perhaps that's why there are more than one.

Interesting perspective on things with this write up...as a reader and the basis of this subjective matter...you view the aspects and let them be known in the lines...the thing about faith and God is it does not have to be proven...either you believe or not...at times taking that a bit far on the edge...I do recommend looking into the first sentence and rewriting the wording...its a bit fragmented...but with a little edit can be made into a fine piece of work here:
