Get RealA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenFacing facts!Get Real I've put on weight! I am devastated. I eat once a day, not always healthily mind you, but not half bad; and I rarely snack. I do a rigorous, ninety minute, gym session twice a week. At home, I exercise six days a week with Sunday off for 'good behaviour'! Four point six kilograms over and my Body Mass Index up from seventeen to nineteen since January. But hold! I am guessing the daily beer and whiskey is not helping, but neither is the isolation, the silence and the lonely nights.
