Lessons In Love

Love needs work.

Lessons in Love

Love is like a coral reef,

simply amazing,

full of life, colourful

and delicate.

Like a coral reef

it needs to be nurtured

and protected.

Love is like a summer breeze

cooling upon warming skin

and fragrant with honeysuckle.

But when evening falls

you have to watch the chill

and cover up.

Love is like a bubbling brook

laughing and tumbling

over life's rocks

as its crystal clarity

cleanses the soul,

but even so, one

must be careful

not to drown

in its charm.

Love is fickle,

it is fraught with traps

and only the most

loving and bold

endure.

Some very good comparisons you've drawn.
Love is not self sustaining. It needs and is...
Work.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
