Theory

Theory

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

In the beginning.....

"

Theory

In the sun

sparks of creation are mine,

much as the big bang

spawned the universe of mankind

I have words that collide

in atom fusion

and fall upon the naked

pages of time.

This beautiful poem reminds me of a quote from, one of my favourite theoretical physicists, Lawrence Krauss:

"Every atom in your body came from a star that exploded. And, the atoms in your left hand probably came from a different star than your right hand. It really is the most poetic thing I know about physics: You are all stardust. You couldn’t be here if stars hadn’t exploded, because the elements - the carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, iron, all the things that matter for evolution and for life - weren’t created at the beginning of time. They were created in the nuclear furnaces of stars, and the only way for them to get into your body is if those stars were kind enough to explode. So, forget Jesus. The stars died so that you could be here today."

Well done, sir!

Bienvenue, mon ami
I like the mystic in this eloquent piece John.
I like the title - its reminiscent of those car-park disclaimers - park here at your own risk.
Cool one.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
