Calculus

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Not maths!

"

Calculus

In this quadratic equation

love cannot be true

for what I offered you

was foursquare

and yet you denied

the veracity of my heart.

I hated Math, especially when they started putting letters in the equations! This is sublime...I'm melting here!

I know John`s work well, this is very good, for me echoes of Elisabethan love poetry, with its elaborate and original imagery. Excellent, read this WC !

You are far too kind dear Leslie. Many thanks.
John a clever clever write with the twist. I liked calculus at school and have never used this maths when I left for decades now lol. A great piece with precision and accuracy. wow!

Many thanks Andrew for such a positive review.
"I love the 'Not maths!' tag line John. Its like showing someone a big dog then shouting after them as they run into the sunset 'Come back... he won't bite!'
Its a clever write my friend, cool metaphor and more to it than meets the eye. One of your best, I feel.
