Reignited

Reignited

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Ashes to ashes....

"

Reignited

I wrote a half decent poem today

from the embers of a thought.

I found it as I raked through

the ash within the cast iron grate

of my soul.

It was there all of this time

burning slowly,

grey and cold to the eye,

but touch it

and you will feel its heat.

I liked the approach you took with this John, from the embers of a thought, to the ash of your soul. If those ashes are stoked enough, they give off a heat that can still burn.

...great analogies!

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
