Smite

Smite

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

We must fight evil!

"

Smite!

You leave no option

to the decent heart

but to fight your poison

and avoid the plague

you would spread amongst us.

For if we are inert

we will be overrun

and overwhelmed by

the cloying hatred you smear

in your mist of lies;

the poison you inject

through fangs of deceit.

And so we will arise,

swords in hand,

to smite the head of the snake

you have grown to become.

Powerful words, well written. I'm glad I stumbled across your poem this evening...having recently been nursing a snake bite, I find your words quite inspirational!

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
