Love's Safe Harbour

Shelter me

from the harsh winds of fate,

so that my flesh will no longer  

be burnt and wracked

by its constant demands.

Let me lie in the lee

of your soul,

in the light

of your beauty,

where I may simply

serve you.

And thence you will know

the  servitude of a man

that most women

can simply dream of.

Slavery is soooo underrated! Thank you Jacob. Lee in English is protection from the wind and in navy terms the Leeward is the side of the vessel away from the windward side. Lea in English is a meadow. Quirky us Brits eh?
