Taking You In

Taking You In

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Breathless anticipation

"

Taking You In

Your skin,

delicate as porcelain,

has a fragrance

that cannot be bottled.

Your hair

is fresh and silky

to my touch.

Your eyes excite me deeply

as I swim in their

pools of desire.

Your breath

is my simple joy,

and as my lips hover over yours,

waiting for that precious moment,

I close my eyes and imbibe

all of the flavours

that beauty can offer

to a man.

You're welcome.
You've painted a really serene picture here, John. The smell that cannot be bottled, lips that hover but never touch and the closing of the eyes are all wonderful images. They speak, it seems, of our inability to fully take in beauty. Lovely stuff!

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
