Tempus Fugit

Tempus Fugit

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Waste not a second.....

"

Tempus Fugit

Life slips

like seconds and minutes

and hours and days

from our grasp.

They pass like trains

which do not stop

and fall away like

flaking skin

to disintegrate

forever.

We cannot regain

those lost

nor reinstate

their meaning.

For time is no friend

but for the Judas kiss

of the wasted moment.
