Enduring Dissonance

Enduring Dissonance

Strength of spirit

"

Enduring Dissonance

Tomorrow never comes

for those who simply wait,

it has to be sought, desired,

it has to be embraced.

There has to be a quest

bold enough to endure

all the slings and arrows

that life may throw at you.

You have to be a rock

prepared to feel the wrath

of winter storms,

and keep hoping

that discordant days

will pass and

spring will fill the air again.

i like reading poems of hope....spring is that time for poets to show us those sunrises just around the corner from cloudy days.

Indeed Jacob we are inspired and affected by the seasons. Many thanks
I really like this. It doesn't gloss over the hardship of life and yet it isn't bleak, for those that show resolve there will be Spring. I'd recommend changing the rock metaphor, the rest of the poem has such motion, so it seems a little jarring at the moment. Keep it up!

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
