Blue Sky Days

Blue Sky Days

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Inspired by the sun.

"

Blue Sky Days

The perfect symmetry

of warmth upon my skin.

The easy tilt of the earth

in glow.

Sweet mown grass,

insect buzz

and children's voices.

A capture of times

long gone

by the lingering days

as life slips past.

The place where

flesh and sun and nature

merge as one

and I keep my peace.

Lucky you!
I love basking in the sun, feeling it penetrating my skin. It hosts our days with possibility, like a flower gently opening its petals. Is there anything better than a just mowed lawn?

What an inspiration, John!

This is where I find myself Kelly. If the sun shines and I can lay in it.....thank you!
Those first two lines create a beautiful image and sets the peaceful tone immediately. Really depicts the feeling of peace, oneness with surroundings. Love it, keep it up, John!

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
