Passion

Passion

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Beautiful but dangerous!

"

Passion

Passion is a beauty and a curse!

for it takes your conscious rationale

and turns it into a boiling volcanic magma

that may simply and quietly ooze

in warm melted rock sheets

across the earth,

or shatter humanity as it explodes

in plumes of toxic gas

and hot burning ash,

that tears the world asunder.

Hi John. Passion, in whatever form it may be presented, can show the whole gamut of emotion. We can talk anger or sexuality, both ooze and explode. Great depiction here. Love the directness of each statement, factual and blunt, not hidden behind over-embellishment. Great write, alf

Passion is my affliction Alf, in all its forms. Many thanks.
I think the boiling magma of a volcano is the perfect comparable to the passion you infuse in your sensual pieces, John!

Thank you so much Kelly!
This is an inspiring metaphorical piece. Lots of energetic, powerful imagery in keeping with the nature of passion itself.
Impressive writing John.

Cheers Anto!
We all lose control when it comes to passion... I love your poetic take on it, John. It really does become 'boiling volcanic magma'.

Passion can be dangerous, no doubt about it. Very dramatic imagery here. Good one, John. Lydi**

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
