The Brutality of Greed

The Brutality of Greed

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

We live in inequity!

"

The Brutality of Greed

Craggy faces

upon the rocks of time

slither across crumbling cliffs

on empty bellies.

Their children skinny,

their wenches

hollow vessels,

whilst the Master,

in his breaches,

rides free

to dine

at a fuller table.

And so it has ever been and shall ever be. Of course, taking from the rich while giving to the poor is part of socialism....which I do not believe in. Still, I think those who have should be a bit more generous with their charitable contributions. Vivid imagery here. Good one. Lydi**
