Survivor.

Survivor.

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

Survivor.

You took my flesh,

removed n****e,

reconstructed form

but you cannot

remove my soul

for there

no cancer exists.

A very dignified piece about a very delicate and painful situation. Indeed, our physical body is only flesh, but through those layers there lies our soul that is much stronger than any disease.

Thank you Nadia. We are, or should be stronger, than the disease that inflicts us.

Thank you Leslie for the shadow of you within which I exist.
A compassionate man resides within you, and it's good to see him emerge, victoriously!
