Revenge

Revenge

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Keep a cool head.

"

Revenge

Do not react in the heat of battle;

keep your powder dry.

Keep your cards close

to your chest

and your enemies even closer.

Wait until the blood cools

before you strike,

for then no mistake

from pumped up passion,

from adrenaline powered hands,

can be so easily made

as your freshly sharpened blade

scythes through the throats

of those who would

strike you dead.

I've always felt the best revenge is to do nothing - karma will take care of them.
Well written and as always a delight to read!

Yes but so difficult to do lol! Thank you Julie.
Very good advice... I wish it was that easy for me haha. Nice work... when I get short tempered I'll read these words to calm down. :)

So true how anger can sometime get the better of you and you can make matters worse. ITs better to step back and calm down first...not always so easy to do though.. lol

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
