Love Does Not DieA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenThere is cruelty in love's death.Love Does Not Die I bleed from the savage rapier blow. That sharp foil you incised my heart's flesh with. Your words fresh, and bold and icy cold as Satan's venom, left dripping from these open wounds. And as I fall from love's stage, simply a page torn from another play, a mere prop of a corpse, my life's blood draining upon the verdant earth below, it is still in your eyes, in your grace, that I see passion.
