With Respect

With Respect

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

With Respect

I do not deny the frailty of my mind,

for I am acutely aware of my own psychosis.

My delusion that the world is a good and safe place

and that man would wish no harm,

is in itself harmless.

But as my anger gathers like the eye of a storm

at the cross winds of my frustrated heart

I must explode.

I must let the chemical imbalance erupt

as the pressure builds within the core of my earth

and no soothing, cooing lies can cool this heat.

The destruction I wish to unleash is more powerful

than I can contemplate and yet I, with respect,

would be gentle to all.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
