There

There

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Watching beauty trapped like a butterfly in a net.

"

There

There stood an angel.

A woman of infinite

and deep beauty

but one who struggles

for her freedom,

for her identity,

for her very soul.

One who wrestles

with self-belief,

but opens her wings

and exposes her heart

with the stroke of her quill.

As hard as I tried

to quell her fear

she shied,

like a fine filly,

away from taking

that jump.

So I became disenchanted,

and there she stood.

There she stood

as enigmatic

in her nakedness

as the desires

that burn

in me now.

And there she still stands.

Not even infinite beauty can assure them of their rightful place in the world. Self-belief is so vital to relationships and self-confidence is so very beautiful. More precious than physical beauty. I feel the pain and dissapointment in your words.

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
