ThereA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenWatching beauty trapped like a butterfly in a net. There There stood an angel. A woman of infinite and deep beauty but one who struggles for her freedom, for her identity, for her very soul. One who wrestles with self-belief, but opens her wings and exposes her heart with the stroke of her quill. As hard as I tried to quell her fear she shied, like a fine filly, away from taking that jump. So I became disenchanted, and there she stood. There she stood as enigmatic in her nakedness as the desires that burn in me now. And there she still stands. 08/02/17 © 2017 John Alexander McFadyenReviews
