Summers ReturnA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenLife has cyclesSummers Return A lingering kiss, stolen. A breath held suspended as hope in aspic dreams. Frozen in a timeline truncated and fractured many times, and upon whose winter branches may be hung filigree feelings for safekeeping. Aromas of orange blossom dance on fragrant airs to anaesthetise brittle, glass rasping, dormant lungs, and feed lifeblood frozen by neglect. And as the sun rises again a heart beats to its warmth and allows heat to radiate through fragile skin, warming chest and charging even the most vagrant soul.
