New GrowthA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenThe life cycle.New Growth My heart lies like broken branches, in a random pile, awaiting the cleansing pyre. As the wood rots upon this stony earth its decay begins the process of renewal. Chewing termites break down once battle hard fibres, making them more susceptible to degeneration. And the soil swallows all it is offered in nitrogen snacks of broken carbon. And there in the ground seedlings are fed, nurtured, until they have the strength to push upwards, seeking solar warmth, as regeneration begins. 20/02/17 © 2017 John Alexander McFadyen |
