Absolution

Absolution

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Save Me!

"

Absolution

Belay the demons

that haunt me,

for their ferocity

has dragged me

to the gates of hell.

At times

my flesh has melted there,

exposing a soul

so, so damaged

by the ravages

wrought upon

its innocence

by monsters

deep within the caverns

of my unconscious,

Catholic, mind.

They eat my organs

and my bones

like wolves,

leaving nothing to chance.

Spare me such demise,

pity me,

Save me!

Wonderful!. I read this twice while listening to "Snuff" in the background and it was harmonious for some reason. You have some great writings.

Feel like a Dante's inferno note. Hell demanding payment and no escape. Strong use of words made the reader feel the feeling of demise. Thank you John for sharing the excellent poetry.

I am amazed at the raw agony of this poem.

They eat my organs
and my bones
like wolves,
leaving nothing to chance.

It shakes the core. Makes me wonder if there is any hope of salvation. Superb John!

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
